Ingredients

2 cups sifted flour

1 cup butter |
|
2 1/2 cups finely chopped hazelnuts
|
|
1/4 cup sugar |
|
1/2 teaspoon salt
|
|
2 teaspoons
vanilla extract |
Preparation
:
1. In a bowl, add sift flour, sugar, and
salt. Work in butter and vanilla.
2. Add 2 cups
finely chopped hazelnuts;
mix well.
3. Shape dough
into 1/2-inch balls. Roll half of the balls in remaining
hazelnuts.
4. Pplace on
greased baking
sheets. Bake at 350° for about 25 to 30 minutes.
5. Roll
plain half of the hazelnut cookies in sifted confectioners'
sugar while still warm.
Makes about 5 dozen hazelnut cookies.
